"The Sultan and The Red Towel is a tale that embodies the spirit of 1001 Arabian Nights, flowing from the lips of Scheherazade herself, the incomparable narratologist who captivated a king, thus saving her own life. Women are champions too!" -see review further below ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Three Vivid Intimacy Romance vignettes walk into a bar
. A twice cursed horse, a fairy Goddessmother, and a sharp-witted man. As head bartender and part-time Romance comedian, you have to ask the three a clever question. Which one is the fantasy?

Cherrr'y Creams

1. The Sultan and the Red Towel. Once upon a time there was a sultan who collected concubines but never married even one of them, and while all the concubines lived opulently, the sultan had kept his secret why he would never consummate with any of them...

2. Delicious Pastry. Just yesterday there was a woman who had kept no luck for herself. She fought within herself and could never come to an agreement inside herself before the luck passed her by. Her heart was heavy with memories of moments which could have been so much more, journeys into relationships in which her wild, unkempt luck had not yet successfully grabbed and held on to her ankle. Self-admittedly, she could be stubborn about protecting her heart. Just now there was a humorous knock on the door of her kitchen...

3. Need. It was a dark and stormy night, she thought, and felt and shuddered in her core. Dark, the New Moon for three nights. Stormy, the floor of her den bracing her back, last reports of gut-pounding thunder embracing the First Man...

From the Author: "Cherrr'y Creams" bundles two fantasy tales from "Goddess Perfume" with a spicy '90s vignette that once made me blush in creative writing class. Years later, my Editor and I butted heads over this collection. The result? A love letter with a kick-ass heroine and delicious intimacy. NSFW, darlings – this one's too hot for the office!

The First Time Ever I Read Your Book

I receive no monetary compensation for my opinion about this work.
This was the first book I read in the Secret of Chocolate Series- apropos introduction, right? And like any first time experience, there was a myriad of feelings and expectation and uncertainties. I wasn’t sure what to expect.
The Sultan and The Red Towel is a tale that embodies the spirit of 1001 Arabian Nights, flowing from the lips of Scheherazade herself, the incomparable narratologist who captivated a king, thus saving her own life. Women are champions too!
Delicious Pastry is a study of ‘what ifs’ in a budding romance between two Cast members. What if I sneak a second look? What if I had smiled at him/her? What if I dare to take a bold step instead of wait and see? What if, what If, WHAT IF??
This story (or spell as The Author calls it) caused me some agitation. No, not because of the vivid descriptions of intimacy (loved that) but because I felt like a spotlight was shining on some of my private moments with a past lover- I won’t be specific. How dare The Author expose me like that! I felt like that Roberta Flack song, Killing Me Softly. Young ones go Bing or ask Siri about the singer and the song.
Need is an allegorical Every(wo)man spell set to the tune of sex, played in the key of intimaCy. (It’s my review. Write your own if you don’t dig my style.) It’s potentially the seed of conversation that every configuration of erotic relationships should have.
Don’t forget the chasers!
